GENERAL TERMS AND AGREEMENT

 
Article 1The sole purpose of this agreement is to define the reservation process in a Bed & Breakfast.
The guests will be guaranteed the best welcome. The proprietor will personally greet his guests upon arrival, guaranteeing them all his attention in order to facilitate their stay and knowledge of the region.
 
Article 2Occupancy. The signee of this agreement will under no circumstance be allowed to extend his stay beyond the agreed date.
 
Article 3Specifications of Contract: The reservation becomes firm and binding once a guest sends a down payment of 30% of the total due amount, with a minimum of one night occupancy per room reserved, and a signed copy of the agreement before the date indicated on the front page. The second copy of the agreement is to be kept by the guest. Prices include all fees. Any costs of bank transfers or exchange rate fees are at the charge of the guest.
 
Article 4Cancellation Policy. Guest cancellation: Any cancellation has to be addressed to the proprietor by registered letter, fax or telegram.
 
a) If cancellation of reservation is less than 30 days prior to check-in date: the price of one overnight stay is due.
b) If cancellation of reservation is less than 15 days prior to check-in date: down payment is retained by proprietor.
c)  If cancellation is less than 7 days prior to check-in date: down payment is retained by the proprietor, who retains the right to claim the funds in full.
d) If on scheduled arrival the guest has not checked in by 8 PM, the present agreement becomes null and void; the proprietor is free to dispose of the rooms as he pleases. The down payment is retained and the proprietor reserves the right to claim the remaining outstanding funds.
e) In case of a foreshortened stay the total amount corresponding to the price of lodging is retained by the proprietor. The services not used by the client will be reimbursed.
f) The beneficiary of an unusual or discount offers in all cases waives repayment of the deposit.
g) In case of refund, the fee will be 20 €.
Article 5 Cancellation Policy. Proprietor cancellation: If the proprietor cancels the reservation prior to the guest’s arrival, he must inform the guest via registered letter with return slip or telegram. The guest will be immediately reimbursed of the total amount paid, not excluding any inconveniences suffered. He will also receive an indemnity that will be at least equal to the one he would have had to pay, had the cancellation been of his responsibility.
 
Article 6Arrival: The customer must present the day specified between 5pm and 8pm. If arriving outside of reception times, the client must first get explicit permission to the owner. No receipt will be done before 2pm or past 10 pm.
 
Article 7Payment of Balance. The outstanding balance is to be paid to the proprietor upon arrival. Beverages and extra services not mentioned in this agreement are to be paid to the proprietor at the end of the guest’s stay.
 
Article 8Tourist Tax: The tourist tax is a local tax that the guest has to pay; it will be collected by the proprietor who will be transmitting it to the “Tresor Public”.
 
Article 9  Use of the Premises. Occupancy and use of the premises and amenities shall not be in a manner that disturbs the peaceful atmosphere of the surroundings. Guests commit themselves to leave the rooms in good condition.
 
Article 10 Capacity. The present agreement is for a precise number of people. The proprietor has the right to refuse extra guests if the number of guests is superior than previously agreed upon. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a breach of the agreement, hence in case this situation occurs, no reimbursement can be considered.
 
Article 11Pets: The present agreement will mention if guests can or cannot sojourn with a pet (domestic animal). In case of non compliance, the proprietor has the right to refuse pets.

Article 12Contention. Complaints concerning the state of the premises have to be submitted to the proprietor on the day of arrival.
 
Article 13 Only the terms and agreement in French, are valid.
